A Worcestershire based choir has performed a powerful James Blunt song in an effort to raise money for Ukrainian refugees.
Voices Unlimited has released a video on YouTube of a performance of James Blunt's No Bravery, accompanying their Ukraine fundraising campaign.
A JustGiving link was set up by the choir to fundraise a goal of £3,000 to be sent to refugees in Ukraine, which now sits at £4,118.
The Ombersley based choir, wearing Ukrainian colours and military-style clothing, perform the song in front of a backdrop of Ukrainian flags.
The footage includes a lot of the shocking footage that has been reported out of Russia and Ukraine since the invasion first began.
Ria Keen, musical director for Voices Unlimited, said: "It was a spur of the moment Idea, I was on Twitter one morning two weeks ago and I saw James Blunt tweet a link to his song No Bravery.
"I had not heard it before and I thought it would be incredible for the choir. We had been discussing how helpless we felt and the idea to accompany the song with a fundraiser came about to generate donations.
"I wrote the arrangement overnight and we had one rehearsal four days later, last Saturday we filmed and recorded it. The chief administrator for the choir edited the video together and we sent it live on Monday Night.
"By Tuesday afternoon we exceeded our donation target which we are thrilled about."
Ria said: "We have been around since 2008, we are an independent choir. I am the musical director and my goal was to bring professional quality singing to an amateur choir experience,
"We are a teaching choir where people come in thinking they are not at a singing standard, and over time they train and are able to perform at the level, you see in the video.
"They are an incredible bunch."
