3000 people were left without power this morning after power cuts hit Evesham.
The news was first acknowledged by the official Western Power Distribution Twitter account earlier this morning.
The tweet confirmed that the WR11 postcode was affected by the outages.

A spokesperson for Western Power Distribution said: "A power cut which affected 3,000 people in the Evesham area at 10.41 am today was resolved within 17 minutes by Western Power Distribution (WPD).
"Power was restored to 2,341 customers in less than a minute by WPD, the electricity network operator for Worcestershire.
"WPD engineers then carried out a site visit to inspect the network but found no damage, allowing supplies to be restored to the remaining 659 customers.
"All customers had their electricity back on within 17 minutes."

Mike Wigmore, WPD Distribution Manager for Worcestershire, said that the incident was a cable fault, which can be caused by different things.
He said: “As soon as we were satisfied that the network was secure, we were able to restore power supplies to the remaining customers.
"Faults like this can occur as a result of something as simple as a branch or other debris blowing on to the overhead line.”’
