Powercuts in Evesham last night affected 1733 people.
The outages were affecting residents in the WR11 postcode area in the late hours of the evening, with TVs and lights reportedly turning on and off.
One Twitter user said: "power not gone completely but I guess this explains the two mini power outages where the lights flickered and tv went out."
The power cut was acknowledged yesterday evening on Twitter by the official Western Power Distribution account.
We are aware that properties are without power in the #Evesham #WR11 and surrounding area. We aim to restore all supplies by 23:30. Apologies to all affected by the #powercut. Andi.

The outages were due to a cable fault, which WPD say is being looked into following the event.
A spokesperson for Western Power Distribution said: " We were first made aware of the incident at 10.09 pm, with 1733 of our customers being affected without power.
"We now know this was due to a cable fault, which our team will be actively looking into now.
"We were able to bring these 737 of these customers back within three minutes thankfully, but a large number of customers remained without power.
We're pleased to say that all power supplies to the #Evesham #WR11 area are restored. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the #powercut. Andi.

"Out of the 956 remaining, we managed to get all but one property back with power within the initial hour.
"The remaining property was back online by 11:15 pm."
