After closing for almost two years, Rooftop Housing Group’s High Street reception has reopened.
The housing association’s main office closed on March 17, 2020, as businesses up and down the country prepared for life in lockdown.
Plans were made to reopen as quickly as possible but now, following a redesign and a re-fit, Rooftop Housing has reopened on Evesham High Street this week.
Housing director, Lisa Nicholls, said: “The pandemic has been a huge challenge, upon lockdown we quickly moved closer to our communities, and we continued to provide vital services for our customers in line with restrictions.
“During this time, we have focussed on keeping our staff and customers safe, making sure they received the support they needed whilst acting with compassion and understanding when they were struggling.”
Chief executive, Boris Worrall, added: “We want to be closer more open and more accessible to our customers.
“Opening our reception is part of that, but it’s important to know that we have always been working through lockdowns and restrictions.
“No member of Rooftop staff was furloughed, we re-deployed them to where they were needed most.
“That showed us the value of having our colleagues working in our communities. Our staff are working on site, at home, in the office… where they need to be for the work they are doing.
“I am really proud of what they have done in the last two years, and I want to thank them for all that they have done.”
The reception, at number 70 on High Street, is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Anyone looking to speak with an advisor or officer is advised to make an appointment in advance.
