THERE have been four coronavirus deaths and a small rise in the number of Covid patients in Worcestershire hospitals this week, NHS data shows.
The latest figures reveal the four deaths recorded for county hospitals came in the week up to February 11.
Three of the deaths came at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust sites - Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital - with the trust's total moving to 945.
Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust saw a further Covid-19 death, its total moving to 67.
The four announced deaths this week means in total there have been 1,012 Covid-related deaths in county hospitals during the pandemic.
Latest NHS data shows a rise in the number of people in hospital with Covid-19 - with 85 recorded on Friday, February 11.
In comparison a week ago, on February 4, there were 83 people in Worcestershire hospitals with Covid-19.
The number of people in intensive care with Covid 19 has dropped, from five people on February 4 to four people on February 11.
Meanwhile there has been a fall in the number of coronavirus cases overall in Worcestershire, Public Health England (PHE) figures show.
The latest figures show there were 5,455 cases in the week up to February 6 - a drop of 23.9 per cent on the previous week.
Worcester saw a fall of 35.7 per cent in the seven days to February 6 with 1,015 cases.
Malvern Hills saw a fall of 10.8 per cent in the seven days with 841 cases.

Wychavon, which includes Evesham and Droitwich, was down 13.9 per cent to 1,255 cases.
Redditch was down 20.5 per cent to 793 cases.
Wyre Forest, which includes Kidderminster, was down 33.5 per cent to 752 cases.
And Bromsgrove had a fall of 24.6 per cent to 799 cases.
The latest vaccination figures, up to February 10, show 87.3 per cent of Worcestershire adults have had a first dose of a Covid vaccine, 82.7 per cent have had a second, while 68.4 per cent have had a booster.
