DogFriendly is an online website that details locations and venues across the UK that are suitable for dogs.
The site has more than 50,000 businesses registered on their databases, and the information is gathered by contacting every hotel and pub on the search directory once a year to ensure that they are still dog friendly.
Alwyn Sullivan, the owner of Ye Olde Red Horse, said: "We have always been a dog-friendly pub and I think that as long as the dog is well behaved and on a lead, it is absolutely fine.
"We usually find most dogs try to drag their owners into the pub as we always save T-bones for them when they visit us.
"Dog owners never like to be without their pets, and we get a lot of holidaymakers in the area as well who take their dogs with them and like to stop in for a drink.
"We have a courtyard, a lounge and a bar where dogs can be, we only ask they are kept away from the dining room, but anywhere else is fine."
Councillor Sue Amor, Mayor of Evesham is also in favour of pubs being dog friendly.
She said: " I’m a cat person myself but I certainly have no problem with well-behaved dogs being allowed in pubs."
According to the Blue Cross, there is no law or any health and safety regulations that ban dogs from being in premises where food and drink are served or sold.
However, they must not enter areas where food is prepared, handled or stored.
It is up to the owner whether they’d like to welcome dogs.
