A POLICE watchdog has provided an update following a fatal crash involving a police car last week.
A man in his 50s was killed in a crash at the junction of Badsey Lane on Elm Road in Evesham, last Thursday.
Police were responding to an emergency call on blue lights when the collision occurred.
Speaking the following day, Assistant Chief Constable Rachel Jones, of West Mercia Police, said they had referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
An IOPC spokesman has now confirmed they are in the process of deciding what action to take next.
They said: "We can confirm we have received a referral from West Mercia Police concerning the fatal road traffic collision in Evesham on 27 January.
"We are currently assessing the referral to determine what action may be required from us."
