Litter pickers in Evesham have been helping to keep streams free of rubbish.
It was a busy weekend for Anti-Litter Evesham who were out collecting waste near the Charity Brook on Saturday.
The street cleaning group said that the brook’s bank was recently cleared by contractors, revealing years of litter that had been thrown in the stream.
Some of the most “shocking” items found by Anti-Litter include a black bag full of sheets of broken glass, an old hose, a spray gun, and an umbrella.
The oldest item discovered on Saturday’s pick was a Wotsit crisp packet dated November 2007.
Anti-Litter also went out on Friday and Sunday to round out a busy weekend of cleaning.
Among the items found on these picks were car parts, a wooden speaker, and even a TV complete with remote control.
