It was a winning weekend for Evesham’s swimmers.
On Saturday, December 4, Evesham Swimming Club competed at the Soundwell Open Meet at Horfield Leisure Centre in Bristol.
A 22 strong squad achieved an incredible 98 personal bests across the two sessions.
In total the team won 12 golds, 20 silvers and 18 bronzes.
The event also offered the swimmers a final chance to qualify for the Worcestershire County Championships due to be held in January and February of next year.
So far in 2021 the club has had 54 swimmers qualify for the championships, competing in around 300 events between them.
Head coach Graham Begley expressed how immensely proud he is of the club.
He said: “Their drive and determination to achieve success is incredible.
“All of the swimmers are a pleasure to work with.”
