PARTS of Evesham are continuing to have among the highest infection rates in the county, according to the latest coronavirus hotspot map.
The infection rate in Evesham East was 560 cases per 100,000, while the Harvington, Offenham and Badsey infection was 659.0 cases per 100,000 people, and Broadway, Wickhamford & Sedgeberrow had 480.6 cases per 100,000 people.
Areas with infection rates between 400 and 799 cases per 100,000 people are placed in the second highest purple 'hotspot' category by Public Health England (PHE) on its coronavirus hotspot map.
Evesham Central had an infection rate of 415.3 cases per 100,000 in the week up to October 14.
Infection rates of between 200 and 399 cases are placed in the third highest blue ‘hotspot’ category on the coronavirus map.
Evesham North and Hampton comes into this category, with 301.9 cases per 100,000.
Wychavon overall had an infection rate of 511.9 per 100,000 in the week up to October 14.
In comparison Worcester had an infection rate of 356.1 in that week, and Malvern Hills had an infection rate of 333.6.
