One Evesham family are celebrating a birthday weekend in the only way know how, by turning their front garden into a graveyard.
Helen Merriman turns 41 on Saturday, October 30, before her dad David celebrates his 70th a day later, on Sunday, October 31.
To properly honour the spooky occasion, they have been busy decorating the front garden of Helen’s house, on the corner of Leicester Grove and Rynal Place, with home-made Halloween decorations.
Helen is partially sighted and has decorated her house every year for the last five years, with the help of mum and dad, Yvonne and David.
She said: “I love Halloween and it’s my birthday as well.
“I have made my house nice, so people come to me and I don’t have to go out.
“I started with just a few bits, and it has just got bigger and bigger and the kids all love it!”
This year Helen is raising funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance and has already received over £100 in donations.
She added: “It is not funded so they rely heavily on donations. I’ve never had to use them, but it is a good charity. Anything helps for them.”
