THOUSANDS of people are expected to enjoy the Mop Fair which opens on Thursday (September 30).
Evesham's Mop Fair will return this year after the covid pandemic forced the fair's cancellation in 2020.
Mayor of Evesham, cllr Mrs Sue Amor said: "We are delighted that Mr Danter will be bringing the fair to Evesham this year and wish them all the best for a successful event"
The Mop will open on Thursday and run until Saturday, October 2.
Families will enjoy stalls and rides at the traditional fair which dates back hundreds of years.
Worcestershire Highways said road closures will be in place across the town effective from 6pm Wednesday until 2am on Sunday.
Closures will be in place at:
- Merstow Green
- Vine Street southbound (Merstow Green roundabout to High Street)
- High St southbound (Vine Street to junction with Oat Street)
- Market Place Bridge St (High Street to Mill Street)
- Bridge St (High Street to Mill Street)
Danter's Fun Fair has encouraged people attending the fair to visit the shops and restaurants in the area.
Writing on Instagram, it posted: "We would like to encourage ALL our customers to visit the businesses within Evesham Town centre during our stay.
"All shops, bars, restaurants, cafes etc will OPEN throughout the MOP fair. A warm welcome awaits you.
