FAMILIES in the Cotswolds can now be at one with nature, as a special field of wildflowers is open to enjoy at Cotswold Farm Park this summer.
The park, ran by TV presenter Adam Henson and business partner Duncan Mathews is dedicated to preserving rare breed farm animals and delivering the best of sustainable British farming. The Flower Field has welcomed happy families since its opening and will be available for visits till the end of August.
The park boasts a sea of wildflowers - from sunflowers to daisies. The flowers have been sown in partnership with agricultural seed merchants Bright Seeds, as a combined effort to enhance the diversity of wildflower rich meadows. The seeds from the flowers will be harvested and shared with local land owners, as part of a national initiative to increase biodiversity.
The team at Farm Park said they are on a mission to spread the importance of wild pollinators, with 90% of the bee population lost in recent years.
Children can learn whilst they play, with bite sized facts placed around the field for visitors to learn.
The Flower Field is free to enter for all Farm Park visitors and Campsite guests. Flower Field Only tickets are also available to buy, £5 for adults £3 for children.
