A MOBILE fish and chip shop is supporting small businesses with a discount, one of its latest generous acts in the community.
In support of the latest “love you’re local business initiative” and bearing in mind how difficult this year has been, StarChip Enterprise would like to offer a 10% discount to all small business in Worcestershire who would like to book for a lunchtime treat for all their loyal staff.
A further 10 % will be donated to local charities that help feed disadvantaged children.
StarChip which has been named the UK's No1 mobile chippy has been helping out the community is based in Badsey but drives around many local villages. Over half term it gave free meals to children whose family's were struggling to feed them. This came after the government decided not to give out free meal vouchers to parents who rely on free school meals.
Over the pandemic the chip-van also fed NHS workers and care home staff.
Owner Jeffrey Warren said: “We have been serving people who can’t get into town, if we had stopped working, a lot of people have said they would have struggled in the lockdown. They didn’t have the basics.”
“You just can’t believe how touched people are. Everyone has been social distancing, no one has moaned.”
StarChip offers a fully Covid Compliant service with Glutenfree Vegan and Vegetarian food.
