A TOY collector is exhibiting items from his childhood.
Rob Brown said: “I have been collecting for well over 20 years, mostly toys from my own childhood starting from the 70s through to the 80s and onwards. I have got a very large collection of toys, toiletries, bed spreads, and wall paper.”
“A lot of people have said to me over the years, because some of it is packed away, that I really should exhibit this for people to see. I spoke to Number 8 and they went along with it and said ‘good idea.”
Mr Brown, 43, from Lower Moor, near Pershore is doing an exhibition of toys from the 1970s. If there is enough interest, he will do more exhibitions of items from different eras such as the 1980s, he has a large collection of action figures.
Mr Brown does not collect with a view to selling his items.
“It has always been for enjoyment. I used to just pick things up from car boot sales. Over the years people buy me things and collect things for me.”
The exhibition starts today (January 24) until February 20. Mr Brown is doing a talk about his collection of February 7. Both events are at Number 8, Pershore.
