CHILDREN were rescued from a stranded car that got stuck underwater in Peopleton.
The three occupants of the car were rescued by firefighters using an inflatable sled, after the vehicle got stuck in the ford in Seaford Lane at around 2pm this afternoon.
Michael Cadman, from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, tweeted: "First stranded vehicle I've been to this year.
"Crews retrieved occupants including children then Christmas presents, car seat.
"Always deceptive - don't know what's under the water and as little as a few inches of fast water can sweep vehicles away."
Firefighters from Pershore, Worcester and Evesham attended the incident.
