A HEADTEACHER has praised the "team effort" that saw his school land an exceptional Ofsted report.
Bredon Hill Middle School, in Elmley Road, Ashton-under-Hill, has been ranked outstanding in all areas by the schools watchdog.
Head Steven Charlton put the result down to hard work across the school pyramid and stressed the school will strive to improve even further.
It was rated outstanding overall and in the four categories inspected - leadership and management, behaviour and safety of pupils, quality of teaching, and achievement of pupils.
Mr Charlton said: "We were obviously very pleased and worked incredibly hard over the last three years to get to outstanding.
"The school has moved on significantly in that time and there are lots of reasons for that.
"It's very much a team effort, as we've got fantastic first schools and a high school in this pyramid and [this result] is as much a compliment to them as to us.
"We're not going to rest on our laurels - I honestly believe the school is going to get even stronger now.
"All the staff have been rewarded for their hard work and I feel we'll kick on even further."
Mr Charlton added: "What I like the most is where it became a bit more personal about the school.
"There was a line in there that sad the kids 'are inquisitive and fun to talk to,' which summed it up nicely.
"We've always known behaviour was great and there's a real thirst for knowledge from our kids, and an ethos running through the school that everyone achieves the best they can."
Inspectors praised teaching, students' behaviour, and the leadership of Mr Charlton, his leadership team and the school's governors.
The report highlighted "teaching [which] is of a consistently high quality and additional support is quickly provided for any students who need it.
"As a result all groups, including disabled students and those who have special educational needs, achieve outstandingly well."
It also picked out the fact that "students behave outstandingly well and work very conscientiously in lessons. Their attitudes to learning are exemplary.
"Students are very proud of their school and the many opportunities it gives them to succeed, both in and out of lessons."
Praise was reserved for "the vision and ambition of the headteacher, senior leaders and governors are crucial elements of the school’s success."
