AN independent Evesham business which has seen its sales fall since work on Abbey Bridge began, is calling on the support of Vale residents.
Tiles Naturally! has been in the town for more than 12 years and is about to celebrate serving its 4,000th customer, with the lucky person being given the prize of dinner for two at the Evesham Hotel.
But the shop, which is found on Abbey Road, is the closest retailer to the bridge and is in the eye of the storm having seen its sales drop since the work to repair the crossing began in March.
Owner Stuart Brown said the business had a lot to offer and he would love to see more local people using it.
“Since the work began on March 9 our turnover has fallen significantly and we could do with some support,”
he said.
“We have had customers saying they have gone to other places because of the queues.
“We are right in the eye of the storm being in Abbey Road and most likely to be affected when it closes.
“But we have not sat back and rolled over and died but have been trying several new initiatives to help customers purchase from us without having to face the long traffic queues through the town.”
Some of what Tiles Naturally!
has to offer includes home visits to advise on colour, style and suitability of product, extended hours by appointment, competitive prices and autumn offers such as 35 per cent off electric underfloor heating and 20 per cent off all orders of 4m sq or more.
“We have a small shop front but customers often comment on our range of stock and say they should have come to us first.”
