AN Evesham hairdressers has become the latest business to pledge to do its best to keep the town in tip-top condition while Abbey Bridge is closed.
Iconic Hair and Beauty Salon, found on Evesham High Street, says it will offer its customers a range of discounts for the period when the bridge is out of action while it is rebuilt as part of an essential project to secure the future of the town.
It was announced last week that the bridge will be fully closed on Thursday, September 19, for a period of 10 weeks, which will disrupt trade for local businesses.
However, Gareth Martin, the director of Iconic, is determined to encourage people to continue to come into the town centre and use the salon.
Mr Martin said: “To make the journey into our salon worthwhile we are offering customers £5 off a cut and blow-dry and £10 off a colour, cut and blow-dry during the closure period.
“Our salon is also open until 8pm on a Thursday for people who may find it difficult to get into town within normal opening hours.
“The reduction in parking costs will definitely be a benefit to people coming into town, and I hope with all the measures that are being put in place and our customer discounts residents will continue to use the shops and services.”
Iconic is open from 9am to 5.30pm from Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 9am to 8pm on a Thursday, and 9am to 4pm on Saturday.
The salon offers a one-stop shop for hair and beauty under one roof and gives regular monthly discounts to its customers.
