A CRAZY night of top music can be had by all when a covers band takes to the stage at an Evesham venue tomorrow night.
The Crazy 88s are at The Railway Hotel on Evesham High Street from 9pm. The band is a five-piece covers band, made up of experienced homegrown musicians including a female lead vocalist, guitarist, bassist and drummer.
The band may be known to some in the town and the surrounding area having gigged around the county as well as performing at the Evesham Balloon Festival earlier this year.
They also played a popular gig at the much revered Jools Holland’s Jamhouse in Birmingham and have been invited back to perform in February next year.
Matt Buckley, singer and drummer in the band, said the group all lived in Evesham now but strangely had rarely performed in the town. “It’s a bit weird that we havent performed very often in our home town but that’s why we are really looking forward to this one.
“We have a strong following on Facebook and quite a lot of people in the area would know us. I hope many more come and see what we’re like at The Railway,” he said.
He said that The Crazy 88s music was all about what people ‘love to party to’ and was a mix of rock, r&b, blues and soul. They cover famous artists including Amy Winehouse, James Brown, Stereophonics, Green Day and Lynard Skynard.
‘The Crazies’ can also be seen in Evesham next year when they perform at Amber Cafe in February.
Admission is free.
l The Clash tribute act are performing at The Railway Hotel on Saturday. Admission is £8.
