A FISHERMAN from Evesham has published a book which he penned while receiving treatment in hospital.
Brian Bennett was introduced to fishing when he was a child and angling became a lifelong passion and pastime for him. It also created his alter ego as a published author.
Life has thrown a few curve balls at Brian, not least the need to make frequent visits to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for kidney dialysis. Over the years Brian has clocked up thousands of hours as he waited for medicine to work its magic. Five years ago he decided to put those hours to good use and started writing. Brian has now published 11 books, his latest being his life story, or at least the fishing part of it. My Life of Match Fishing is a must-read for any fisherman or woman as Brian reels out his love of fishing, competitions won, and lost, fish caught and those that got away and, probably most importantly, the many friends that he has made along the way. A Lifetime of Match Fishing, will be officially launched on Sunday July 4, at Hampton Ferry Restaurant, Boat Lane, Evesham. Brian said:“It’s hard to believe my story has finally become a book. I’ve wanted to write it for years but to recount over 60 years of fishing, sifting out the best bits and getting everything onto the page has been tough. I can’t say how much I’ve appreciated the help of Angie Haines, Alan Barnes and Angela Fitch But most of all, I thank my wonderful wife, Diane, without her continued encouragement and support, my story would never have been written.” Visit https://amzn.to/2RXXi32
