FOR the first time in the Evesham and District Darts League’s history, The Bear were crowned Division One champions with 24 points.
Cider Mill finished second on 22 points.
The individual trophy was won by Mick Marshall in the last game of seven.
In one of the best finals seen in the league, both players scored numerous 180s and had averages of more than 100 as well as also 11-dart finishes.
Final standings, Division One: The Bear, Cider Mill, Bengeworth, Oddfellows A, Thatch, Green Dragon A, Talbot A, Swan A.
Division Two: Chestnut A, Ambassador A, Bridge, Talbot, Ambassador B, Gardeners, Trumpet.
Division Three: Oddfellows B, Vauxhall, Talbot Pershore, Ambassador Rejects, Railway Steamers, Queenshead, Ambassador A.
Division Four: Hampton WMC, Green Dragon B, Trumpet, Swan B, Railway, Chestnut, Badsey Rec, Crown.
Meanwhile, Sports Argus darts team are playing the Badsey Darts League select side on Friday, October 10, at Avonside Hospital Club at 8.30pm.
Players selected: Paul Brookes, Alex Evans, Simon Webb, Shaun Vernall, Nigel Vernall, Ray Bishop, Darren Terry, Matt Metro and Liam McLoughlin.
