I WAS delighted to read the article in the Journal (April 3) about the survival of Lawrence's Bakers on the High Street for 60 years.
They have achieved this milestone through their determination to provide superb quality products to the good people of Evesham, Pershore and surrounding villages for all this time but are now in a minority.
The big multiples may sell products that are cheaper, but you can't beat a loaf that is made from scratch by hand with local ingredients baked on the premises.
I beg everyone to carry on supporting them so that we may see them on our High Street for another 60 years.
