THE Dog Trust's Dogmobile will be at the Autumn Show on the Three Counties Showground Saturday and Sunday (September 29 and 30) raising awareness of the Evesham Rehoming Centre.
The Dogmobile is a large vehicle, fitted with luxury air conditioned kennels, designed to tour the country carrying with it a small representative of rescue dogs from the nearest Rehoming Centre that are seeking new, loving homes.
Dogmobile manager Pete Rodney explained: "The Dogmobile is a great way for people to find out more about rehoming a rescue dog and the work of Dogs Trust. It is also fun for children to come and say hello to the lovely dogs and help dispel a few myths about the nature of rescue dogs."
He added: "I strongly urge anyone thinking about getting a dog to come along to the Autumn Show and visit our stand."
There will also be advice available on all aspects of dog welfare with fact sheets to take away. Dogs are not directly rehomes from the Dogmobile but a questionnaire is available to gauge suitability for rehoming a rescue dog and information given to the local centre. It is also a great chance to find out about the brilliant Sponsor a Dog scheme for people who are unable to rehome a dog but would love to help."
