FIREFIGHTERS were called to a van fire on the A46 near Bidford-on-Avon.
Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service received numerous calls about the blaze at 11.16am today.
One crew from Alcester attended and found a van well alight and used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to tackle the flames.
A Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said: "The police were requested to assist with traffic management and the highways requested to deal with damage to the carriageway caused by the fire."
The fire was brought under control by 11.41am.
